Okay, so I just HAD to share these because they are way too funny not to. Last night in a state of utter boredom (& putting off important coursework-dom) I came across a website: http://funnyexam.com/ basically, it’s a site full of rebels who are too cool to study or know the answers to questions set by their teachers. Unfortunately the most badass thing i’ve ever done on an exam is highlight misspelt words (cos that kind of thing annoys the hell out of me!!) Anyway, i’ve chosen a few of my faves from the site for yes, your pleasure.

Eeeeeeenjoy!

LOLOL at the “Do each other” ^

Like Duh, brah ^

I make it rain HARD!! ^

Well, they did say briefly. ^

Wassup Russian history?! ^

Kids draw the darndest things! ^

So these final two are my absolute faves.

The life long question has finally been answered!! This is so badass seriously! ^

I take no credit for any of these, they’re all from http://funnyexam.com/ . And remember

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.

It’s no secret that I HATE getting dressed up. I grew up dressing like a boy, liking things that boys liked, and on occasions rocking the ‘mud smeared across my face look’, I even missed my prom because I didn’t want to wear a dress. I like to refer to my style as ‘Tramp Chic’.  However, if I see a pretty dress I acknowledge it so, here are a few dresses which, well, i’m acknowledging 😛

Mary-Kate Olsen at the 2009 MET Costume Gala

(Christian Lacroix dress) I remember the first time I saw this and my jaw literally dropped. I love everything about this dress, the texture, the colour, the layers. It’s GORGEOUS and Mary-Kate definitely wears it well. I probably would wear this! :O

Miley Cyrus at the 2009 Oscars

(Zuhair Murhad dress) There was a lot of controversy about this dress being a ‘copy’ of another designers work but honestly, I don’t care because I like it. Again, the layers just look so lovely. Although the belt could probably be worn with a normal outfit I think it works perfectly to break up the top half of the dress from the bottom.

Keira Knightley at the 2006 Golden Globes

(Valentino dress) Yes, yes, she may look rather thin here but the dress looks amazing on her. It’s such a simple dress but the detail on the waist makes it glamorous. I always think it’s a little ris-kay wearing white dresses incase it’s mistaken for a wedding dress but this has been done just right.

Keira Knightley in Atonement

(Jaqueline Durran dress) So yeah, I still haven’t seen this film but WOWZAH is this a beautiful dress. Keira looks absolutely stunning in this but what I think gives it the umph is the colour. I likey.

Salma Hayek at the 2006 Oscars

The fit on this dress is perfect and the colour looks just lovely. I really like the pleats and the  straps on the shoulder make the dress look a lot more elegant.

So that’s about it really. I can’t think of any other dresses which have made me go WOW! But from the ones listed I have to choose Mary-Kate’s dress as my absolute favourite. 😀

The best laid plans..

Of Mice and Men. (John Steinbeck)

— One of the many books I was required to read at school and the one I adored the most. It’s set around two characters, Lennie & George who are trying to find work during the Great Depression. Their dream is to one day own their own ranch and “live offa the fatta the lan’ “   This novel follows them on the road to achieving this dream, the problems they face and the people they encounter.

“With us it ain’t like that. We got a future. We got somebody to talk to that gives a damn about us. We don’t have to sit in no bar room blowin’ in our jack jus’ because we got no place else to go. If them other guys gets in jail they can rot for all anybody gives a damn. But not us.” Lennie broke in. “But not us! An’ why? Because … because I got you to look after me, and you got me to look after you, and that’s why.”

For me the relationship between Lennie and George is just so beautifully heartbreaking it’s the reason I can never get enough of this novel. You hear and read about those rare friendships which are so strong, that those involved would do anything for each other and this is definitely one of those relationships.

If you haven’t read this book I would strongly recommend you do but if you’re too lazy or don’t have the time, renting the 1992 version of the movie would suffice, as it stays so true to the novel which is very rare nowadays. Under the same name starring John Malkovich and Gary Sinise (also the director) they do justice to the characters and both leads couldn’t have been more perfectly cast. Malkovich’s performance is moving and Sinise’s performance is effortlessly powerful. Of Mice and Men, will forever remain a classic tale of true love and courage and is a piece of literature turned film which will continue to be cherished by individuals, for ever.
